Sámi Culture & Reindeer – a unique summer experience in Luleå
Experience authentic Sámi culture and get close to reindeer in the beautiful summer surroundings of Luleå. Learn about Sámi life, traditions, and reindeer herding from a Sámi guide who shares personal knowledge and heritage. Meet and interact with reindeer, and enjoy Sámi delicacies like dried reindeer meat and gáhkku by the fire in a traditional lávvu. A warm and authentic experience combining nature, culture, and taste. In June and July you will also get to meet newborn calves! This activity is a collaboration between Dálvvás Sámi Culture Experience and Cape Wild, offering a unique summer experience in Luleå!

Price: Adults: 1995 SEK/person. Children 3-12 years 955 SEK/person.

Experience Sámi culture up close with Dálvvás Sámi Culture Experience. Step into a traditional lávvu – a Sámi tent hut – and discover how the Sámi once lived, cooked, and slept in harmony with nature.
Around the fire, enjoy local drinks, dried reindeer meat, homemade bread, gáhkku and cloudberries – northern delicacies that reflect the region’s rich traditions. Listen to stories, ask questions, and learn more about Sámi life and reindeer herding from those who live it.
